To celebrate our 10^th year anniversary in Long Beach, we have partnered with Shoreline Village to present the first annual Raindance/Shoreline Village Native American Indian Festival on

Saturday, March 20^th 2010 from 12 noon to 6 pm.

This free event will feature well known actor and respected member of the Sauk and Fox Nation, Saginaw Grant,

Dancer, Rodney Howard from the Maricopa Nation of Arizona, Elaine Meyers from the Pima Nation who will perform various traditional dances. Yazzie Flutes with Native American Flutes. Plus many more performers and artists, arts and crafts, demonstration and traditional Navajo cooking.

Idyllwild Flute Making Class

The next flute making class this summer will be at Idyllwild Arts. Beginning students July 16-18 and Intermediate students July 15-18, 2010.  Beginning students will use incense cedar and intermediate, canary or zebra wood. Ethnomusicologist Ernest Siva will teach the basics of flute playing and share some of his native culture.
