Thanks
so much for the Utah Spruce flute with the
Lacewood Bear block carved by Mark Knight.
I love it! The sound is so sweet. That
classic "Yazzie flute" sound. It's such a
joy to play. I've already started using it
during my live appearances and can't wait
to record it.

I
love my Yazzie flutes. Each one has it's
own character and personality. They sound
great live and in the studio. They sing
with a clear, sweet, lyrical voice and are
also very responsive to rapid tonguing
effects. These are great flutes for both
beginners and pros. They are easy to play
and well tuned. The Yazzie's love of flute
making can be heard in every one of their
flutes. They take great pride in their
work and it
shows.
As
an added bonus, Marvin and Jonette Yazzie
are two of the nicest people I've ever
met.

Yazzie
flutes are exceedingly responsive and have a
special "aliveness". There is a wonderful tone
quality which I believe comes from the
hand-crafting of these special instruments.

Yazzie
flutes were a turning point in my flute experience.
They have proved to be very consistent in their
quality. I learned a lot about playing from using
their flutes. Maybe, I started to play more after I
acquired my first one.

I
first became aware of Yazzie Flutes through an
acquaintance with recording artist Scott August.
Scott was performing with a very striking flute
made by the Yazzie's. Afterward Scott allowed me to
play the flute. It had a clear vibrant tone with
good dynamic range. The flute was striking in
appearance and had very friendly fingering for the
player. Scott gave me the contact information and I
immediately made contact to order. It was beautiful
blonde redwood flute in F# with buffalo fetish and
end caps out of walnut. I was so impressed I
ordered a high B and a low C# to match. The
workmanship is superior and the customer service
provided by Jonette, Marvin's wife was beyond
compare. They are a wonderful team and now I
consider them friends as well. I refer friends and
circle members to their work regularly without
hesitancy. Recently some circle members referred by
me purchased five Yazzie flutes. They were very
satisfied. I consider it an honor to have flutes
made by the Yazzies in my personal collection.
There is no greater recommendation that can be
given to a maker than that a person owns and plays
their flutes.

We
recently purchased five Yazzie Native American
Flutes in the keys of A, B, and C. We thoroughly
enjoy playing these flutes because they have an
excellent tone and are beautifully hand made in the
traditional Native American style. They are
light, easy to hold and very easy to play. Marvin
Yazzie placed the holes to fit our hand size for
ease of fingering. When we took them to
our flute circle our leader, who is a master flute
player and instructor, said the tone of the flutes
is exceptional. We are very proud of our
Yazzie flutes.

This

is beautiful in tone and appearance.

Scott
[August] was right when he described the
flutes on your website and his. Each does have its
own personality. But, they all have some common
characteristics: they are sweet and delicate in
voice... very lyrical and sensitive! They are very
aesthetically pleasing .... Thank you for creating
such quality "living" instruments.
The
[flute] bags...are magnificent. Such
creative designing coupled with quality "little"
elements like the fringe and the backpacking
pressure stops on the draw cord. I have some
heavier and possibly more durable bags, but none
that seem to say: This bag was made with love and
caring!!
Special
"Thank You" to both of you for creating such
wonderful instrument packages.
